Community Guidelines

Newlo is a place to meet people and build real friendships in a new city. For that to work, everyone needs to feel safe, respected, and welcome.

These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone who uses Newlo. Breaking them can lead to content being removed, or your account being suspended or permanently banned. By using Newlo, you agree to follow them.

1. Be respectful

Treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated. Newlo is for making friends — kindness comes first.

No harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats.
No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other characteristic.
No unwanted, persistent contact after someone has made clear they're not interested.

2. Keep it friendship-focused, not sexual

Newlo is a friendship and community app, not a dating or hookup app.

No sexually explicit, nude, or suggestive photos or messages.
No sexual solicitation or sending unwanted sexual content to anyone.
Keep your profile photos and content appropriate for a public, all-ages-of-adults space.

3. No illegal activity

Don't use Newlo to do, promote, arrange, or encourage anything illegal.

No buying, selling, arranging, or promoting illegal drugs.
No weapons, violence, or content that threatens or glorifies harm.
No scams, fraud, money laundering, or deceptive financial schemes.
No sharing of illegal content of any kind.

4. Be real

Authenticity keeps the community safe and trustworthy.

Use your real name, age, and recent photos of yourself.
No impersonating other people, brands, or organisations.
No fake profiles, catfishing, or misleading information.
One account per person.

5. Respect privacy

Don't share someone else's private information (photos, messages, contact details, location) without their permission.
Don't screenshot or repost private conversations to embarrass or harm someone.

6. No spam or self-promotion

Newlo is for genuine connection, not advertising.

No spam, bulk messaging, or repetitive unwanted content.
No commercial promotion, recruitment, or advertising without our written permission.
No using bots, scrapers, or automated tools.

7. Stay safe when you meet

Newlo helps you meet people, but your safety is in your hands. When meeting someone new:

Meet in a public place the first few times.
Tell a friend or family member where you're going.
Trust your instincts — if something feels off, leave.
Never send money or share financial details with someone you've met on Newlo.

We do not run background checks on users. Interactions and meetings you have with other people are at your own risk.

8. Reporting and enforcement

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, please report it — you can report or block any user directly in the app, or contact us at contact@newlo.app.

We review reports and take action where guidelines are broken. Depending on the severity, this may include removing content, issuing a warning, or suspending or permanently banning an account. Serious violations — including anything that puts someone's safety at risk — may result in an immediate permanent ban, and where appropriate, we may report the matter to law enforcement.
